This seminar will discuss the relevance of immigration law for criminal law practitioners. 

Included will be an overview of relevant cases and the various laws that cover immigration and who enforces those laws.  You will learn what to do if your client is arrested.  There will be an analysis of non-immigrants and visa holders and the path to naturalization.

Also to be covered are: who is at risk for removal; convictions; juvenile convictions; aggravated felonies; CDS; CIMT; plea allocutions; immigration proceedings; DACA; Executive Actions; and various resources at your disposal when you require assistance.
