Planning with IRAs Under the “SECURE” Act – New Rules and Opportunities:  The “Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act” of 2019 is now law and as such, has brought significant changes to the IRA minimum distribution rules and eliminates the stretch IRA for many beneficiaries.  Learn who is covered by the new rules, and about important exclusions for spouses, minor children, disabled and chronically ill beneficiaries and beneficiaries within ten years of the age of the decedent and when to update your clients’ existing documents.  Also learn about IRA rollover rules, and funding Roth IRAs and their implication for reducing estate and inheritance taxes.

Ethical Preparation of Expert Testimony:  This presentation will explore the ethical use of expert witnesses, with reference to the rules of professional conduct, evidence and civil procedure implications.

Anatomy of a Case: Arbitration Program of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County:  The CLE will cover the Arbitration Program administered by the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County for all matters involving claims under $50,000.  It will include a general overview of the Court and the Program, the general procedures, as well as the four cases identified in the materials.
